Calorie burning machine

I'm new at working out, but I've found a secret that I need to share. Since I started working out this January, I've been trying different exercises. I've been alternating my cardio workouts with my strength training, exercise classes, Wii Fit and dvd exercises. Amongst my favorite dvd programs are Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds and 5 Mile Fat Burning Walk. However, two weeks ago, I joined the Zumba revolution. According to my heart rate monitor, I'm burning more calories on the Zumba than any of my other workouts. The good thing about Zumba is that it is a fun-filled fast-paced workout. Depending on your intensity, you could burn anywhere from 400 to 900 calories per hour of Zumba. Two weeks after Zumba, I've lost two additional inches off my waist and gone down a dress size.     I've tried Zumba once and after reading your blog, I'm going to give it a few more tries. I'm very excited about this journey and love to hear about "calorie burning machines". Very happy for you.

    @ HeatB79: My Zumba workouts do get me sweaty, but I'm hanging in here 'cos I'm seeing some good results. Maybe I should try yoga too. My flexibility is zero! I checked out your spark page. I hope you can get to your goal before the wedding .

    LOVE ZUMBA!!!! I started going about 2 1/2 weeks ago and now go 3x/week. Since I started I lost about .5" on most places. Of course this week I've come down with a cold and have missed one class and I'm very upset about it. Congrats on joining the Zumba revolution. emoticon

    I'm glad it worked for you. I tried it at my local gym for about 4 months straight going twice a week; I did this while I was doing Weight Watchers. The only thing it ever got me was sweaty and tired. I was also doing yoga on two other days; I liked it much more but still saw no results.
    To the point, I didn't lose any weight and it all made me feel even worse about myself. But, I am glad it works for you and keep it up :)
