I am Melting

Tuesday, March 23, 2010

Boy. I was on a heck of a plateau for awhile there. In fact, it was WORSE than a plateau, because my scale was going back UP (hello? um, Mr. Scale? Are you broken? Because you're going the WRONG WAY!). I retain water like crazy during my monthly cycle, I guess, although I've never really tracked it before, but this month was NUTS. I kept trying to figure out what was going on, because I was sticking to my plan, and even getting my exercise in (more than usual).

HOWEVER: Here's what I wanted to note. Now that I have finished my period, the water weight is dispersing, and I'm literally melting away. I must have been losing weight all that time, but I couldn't tell it, because it's just falling off me now. I'm going to try to remember that for NEXT month, in case it happens again.

FYI- Eight pounds to go until I hit ONEDERLAND! Rock on, me!

Hmm... Lizzy, that's a thought, becuase I know that when you eat more protein, your body releases water. Which I guess would help the bloating. I think I might just try that this month! Thanks for the advice!!

yep i used to gain on average about 3 pounds a month but now it is more like a month. Here is something that i read but haven't really tried. If you eat more protein around TOM then you will continue to lose or at least stay the same weight.
If you try it let me know how it works! LOL
Great job on that weight loss and staying on plan!
