do you think they'll work...??

I got a little health booklet in the mail today and in it was a section on "at work exercises" I tried the chair stomach twist at the waist as you bend slightly and tighten you abs......I guess I'll wait till tomorrow to see if it worked. Either I'll be sore or nothing will happen.... emoticon

    I don't know about the desk crunches, but I do find ways to work in exercises while at work. I do ALOT of calf raises... while standing around at work, waiting in line at the checkout, etc. I have also done wall push-ups at work while waiting for a phone call or while riding in the elevator (if I happen to be the only person in there).

    I hope you're not offended, but your post made me literally laugh out loud. I kept imagining what my office-mate would do if I broke out into push-ups at my desk or started doing crunches! That said, I get my own office in a few weeks and with all the hours I have to sit in front of a computer screen, I am seriously interested in getting in some productive exercise during that time. Love how you are always working toward doing that one step more in your health and weight loss goals.

    Our family was cracking up at the dinner table the other night because I shared something very similar from my physical therapist: If you tighten your abs and hold for 60 seconds, anywhere you are -- driving in the car, waiting on an elevator, watching TV -- that's the equivalent of one stomach crunch. So over a whole day, all your "wait" time can be productive. My kids and my husband were trying to do these static crunches while eating dinner.

    Let me know what works!! I am trying to fit in more exercises at my desk. BTW desk push-ups work great!
