Spring Cleaning

Twice a year I get into the mode of purging! This weekend I spent several hours going through my drawers and closet. Four very large trash bags later, I have two empty drawers and a half empty closet. It has been a couple of years since I began to lose weight. When I started, I had given my mother a bunch of my size 12 clothes but held on to some as well. As I lost weight, I ended up buying a few items in size 10 and then size 8 and then size 6. I saved all of these clothes "just in case". Well, this weekend I finally realized that the "just in case" is NEVER going to happen.

I have no plans to gain weight. I like the lifestyle I lead, I am healthy and I feel and look good. I went to the doctors this morning for my annual phuysical and had labs drawn last week. We went over the results. My cholesterol risk factor is 2.6. My cholesterol is 170 and my HDL is 69. My BP was 110/70. Fasting blood sugar was 72.

I hope that someone will be able to make use of my clothes. I am dropping them off to a charity today. I know I will never need them again!!

    Way to go! It's good to have a realistic approach to these things, and getting rid of stuff that you won't use always feels fantastic.
