Goddess, after nearly two weeks of searching and calling - we finally got a Wii.

We went to a Wally World for the FIRST TIME IN OUR RELATIONSHIP. It was late on a Saturday evening, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. We drove 64 miles round trip - and we NEVER DRIVE. (We gots an auto we bought on the 3rd of July last year, what got 2300 miles on it.)

We bought the console system, that came with Wii Sports, and Wii Sports Resort, a Motion Plus (trust me, we NEEDED IT), and a second set of controllers.

We also bought an induction charging station - a rechargeable battery system that just sits on a on a small, flat platform to charge.

The young salesman informed us that this charging system was superior because you could charge the controllers ALL THE WAY UP - whereas with the 'oldstyle' stations, due to gravity, you could not charge them ALL THE WAY UP.

No, I sh!t thee not - he thought gravity affected electricity and the charging of batteries.

Oh, well - he is a hard-working kid - and not out doing crimes. He WAS very earnest, and we did NOT laugh in his face - although we've been hysterical half a dozen times since.

I'm horrible, aren't I?

Yay! I like my Wii Sports and the Resort game a lot... and those recharging stations (gravity fed or not! LOL) are a big bonus, 'cos otherwise those things suck up batteries like crazy.

That's right up there with your Costco story when your UK friend was visiting. Hold on, I can't type thru the tears in my eyes.

I would have had to walk away, in order not to laugh in the poor kid's face. Kudos to you!!!

Congratulations on your purchase. It will give you many happy years of enjoyment and exercise. Hilarious about the charger! I'm afraid that I would not have been able to keep a straight face.
