I stole this from JENFIT, who stole this from someone else. :) I found it interesting to see what she did, and kinda fun, so here goes...
1. What did you eat for breakfast?
** 1 egg, a piece of toast
2. How much water do you drink a day?
** It varies because I interchange it with fresh brewed, unsweetened tea. Some days though, it feels like I am floating. :)
3. What is your favorite workout?
** Spin and Spice It Up, the strip tease dance class. Obviously they are both very different, but I enjoy them both so much.
4. What is your favorite fruit?
** Pineapples and Clementines
5. What is your favorite vegetable?
** spinach can be added in lots of things, celery for snacks, and I love eggplant and zucchini
6. How many calories do you burn a week?
** Jiminy Crickets...I never really think too much about it weekly...just from my workouts between 3500 and 6000, depending on my mood that week.
7. How many calories do you eat a day?
** Typically 1200 to 1350. Except for when I plateau. Then I increase it. If I eat more than that regularly, I only maintain. I never exceed 1500, even on special days. Sucks to be short sometimes.
8. What are your favorite healthy snacks?
** Celery or bell pepper and a dip made from fat free sour cream and onion soup mix, fruit with sugar free cool whip, string cheese, a few almonds...
9. What do you usually eat for lunch?
** Half sandwich with fresh baby spinach instead of lettuce, two pieces of fruit, maybe some soup. I really like my grilled veggie sandwiches with swiss on the George Foreman. Yum! I don't know it all depends. Sometimes it is really random.
10. What is usually for dinner?
** Could be anything from homemade chili with homemade beans, to homemade "fried" brown rice (I fake it) with chicken or pork in it. Then there are the all out days of veggie and cheese enhiladas or lasagna (sometimes eggplant, sometimes regular noodles). Sometimes it is soup and grilled cheese. I really make alot of the same stuff I have always made and enjoyed, I just make it in a healthier manner.
11. What is your favorite body part to strength train?
** Arms and back is what I need so I tend to go there. I love the gravitron machine and think it is fun, so that helps. Spin does alot of my lower half and some of my upper for me.
12. What is your least favorite body part to strength train?
** Right now, I stay away from too much strain on my wrists with free weights because of my injury. It is not a least favorite, it is more a can't do out of fear of reinjury to soon. ;)
13. What is your least favorite exercise?
** Running. I tried. I actually enjoy sprinting. But real running is painful for me. My upper back and shoulders will just not have it; the boobs are simply too top heavy. And yes, I have tried every bra in the world (even 2) and nothing made that better. The stayed in place, but it still became painful. :( boo.
14. What is your favorite exercise?
** Dance, spin, dance, spin...are we seeing a pattern in my world?
15. What are your "bad" food cravings?
** Ice cream. Rarely in the house, and if it is, I have my own and it is of a more healthy type (as healthy as ice cream can be lol). I don't even go down that aisle in the stores usually.
16. What is your go to workout song?
** Not just one, The Killers' album Hot Fuss...pretty much all the songs on there get me going
17. Do you take vitamins or supplements?
** Absolutely. Me having cravings because I am missing a nutrient is not going to happen!
18. How often do you eat out?
** Maybe twice a month
19. Do you eat fast food?
** Rarely. But I have my go tos that I know are healthier because I researched them from home long ago online, so there is no looking at the menu or the pictures if I end up there.
20. How do you stay motivated?
** There is a series of things actually. It really depends. Some days I browse clothes online and think about all the things I want to look fabulous in. Other times, if I feel I am not giving it 110% or starting to slip up, I give myself a verbal beating. It sounds cruel I know, but for me, I have to give myself a little tough love now and then or risk being right back where I started...and I don't want that! Then there are the solitary moments. My little sister is a big part of my reasoning. Our parents have passed and it is just her and I. I promised myself that she would not have to bury another immediate family member for a very very long time. I am going to everything I possibly can to keep that promise.
21. Who is your biggest supporter?
** My boyfriend is great, but not as great as he used to be. LOL He is slipping a bit. My friend Amy is probably my biggest supporter and gets all the weird emotions (and deals with them). She is the one that shoved me in the dressing room with armloads of jeans she picked out when I swore I hadn't lost enough weight and I was looking at more exercise clothes. She is the one that listens to my random comments about my body dismorphia and tries to get me to see something else. And gratefully, she doesn't ever tell me to shut up, although we do have a deal. I hear her moan about law school, and she listens to me moan about whatever latest weird thing I am dealing with.
22. How much weight have you lost?
** I hit 50 lbs this week down from my original starting weight (pre-spark) of 212! Yay!
23. How did you determine your goal weight?
** I haven't. I keep changing it as I get closer to a normal BMI weight and realize that isn't going to be enough. Since I have never been a healthy weight, I have no idea what a healthy weight is for me.
24. Do you have a gym membership?
** I love the gym, so that is a yes. And I got a great deal. I learned you should always ask about corporate deals. Some gyms have special deals with certain companies and they aren't going to say it unless you ask.
25. How often do you work out?
** 3-6 days a week, depending on mood and schedule.
26. How did you find Spark?
** Yahoo search for free trackers in June 2009. I had no clue.
27. How much sleep do you get a night?
** 6-10 hours. It really depends on how tired I am. LOL
28. Are you a morning or night workout person?
** Depends on the class I want to hit.
29. Do you have a "cheat" day?
** Nope. And I don't really like that word. It doesn't work for me. Some days I go up to 1500 calories, but I never really exceed that, even when I am say, having a cupcake. I just try to think about what I am eating and choose accordingly. I tried the cheat day; what a disaster. Nothing but cravings after for days. It was like the holiday season. No way!
30. Do you drink soda?
** No. I don't drink caffeine, and I don't drink things with sugar. So that left alot out. On rare occasions I will buy diet cherry -up. That I enjoy now and again. ;)
31. Do you drink alcohol? How much?
** No alcohol. Since the meds with the heart condition was discovered, I just skip it.
32. What is your favorite thing about Spark?
** The friends, the blogging, the teams...SP keeps me honest. ;)
33. What do you not like about your body? What do you love about your body?
** It isn't that I hate my body I am just still a work in progress. So the parts I am most actively pursuing change in are my upper arms, my tummy and rib cage area, and my back. I love my legs and my face. I could do with a pedicure. LOL
34. Do you have a workout buddy?
** No. It used to be R. but since he got sick, he has been a slacker. Okay that isn't fair. Still, I go it alone now. I do meet the usuals at the gym in my classes like Daniela. I only see her at the gym, so I enjoy that.
35. What is the best thing that has changed about your life since committing to this Healthy Lifestyle?
** I don't think anything has really changed except my closet. ;) I am still me. I was always chatty, smiling and smart. I am still those things. I don't feel different in those ways. I do feel stronger in the gym. I have more endurance and I don't get tired climbing stairs and such. To be honest, I am still working on not feeling like the fat girl. Most days she is still in the mirror and I have a hard time seeing the newer me.
