My Possibilities~Stayin
g Serious Day 9

Ok, so I have been doing some thinking this morning and over the weekend. If I can find a way to make it work, I would like to get into Massage Therapy melded with being a Health & Wellness Personal Coach.

I am still thinking about the Registered Dietitian but focusing on our youth more so than adults-although I could do what Jetsox initially suggested and incorporate that into the mix as well. I feel that our children need more guidance. Obesity is on the rise at such a young age now. I would like to make a difference in kids lives. I was not overweight as a child but I do have a child and I do worry about her eating the wrong things. I like the idea of helping children make better choices.

I like how things are starting to take shape in my mind. MYSTIC, I've got that notebook but I haven't written as much in the little notepad as I would've liked to. But it was definitely a great idea.

I thank you all for the support you've given me. I don't know what I'd do without my Sparkfriends and their wonderful ideas & suggestions!

I think that is a very noble decision to work with overweight kids. Childhood obesity is growing at such an alarming rate. emoticon emoticon

I think you are an incredible motivator! Helping young kids would most likely be a very rewarding experience. Good for you making plans, exploring options! I think you would be great whichever route you take. I love the idea of a Health and Wellness Coach. In fact, you would be perfect for that. Follow your dreams my friend!

Whoo hoo! You are on the right path. I agree with Strawberries, that kids need healthy role models. Not just to show alternatives to fast food, but also to show that healthy does not mean "being skinny". Congrats on your progress down the career path!

I knew you would start to put things together. Follow your heart honey. It knows where it wants to be. Our minds tend to get in the way of where we should be going. We care too much of what others want from us or what they think. Our minds take us down twists and turns until we're so confused we dont know what direction to go in anymore. Our hearts and souls, on the other hand, have a map that will lead us straight to our dreams.
Focus on you... Start asking yourself questions about your hopes and dreams. Start focusing on what would make you happy and complete.
Start fluffing those wings up so one day you'll spread them and fly.

I think teaching kids to stay healthy is a great idea! God creates us and we come into the world (most of us anyway) in great shape with all the possibilities in the world and then we learn habits and make choices that just keep adding to our weight and detracting from our fitness level... compound this with the fact that kids today are far less active than they ever have been and fast food is more readily available than it has ever been and we have big issues... it would be great to be able to teach them young to stay in shape... Let us know what you decide! You will do great!

Wow the kids now a day need the guidance of role models who can let them know it is okay not to go eat at those golden arches and being healthy is okay. Keep up the good work.
