Do the Program, Get the Results

Just passed the 1,000 point milestone. In the big scheme of things, compared to the SparkPeople Giants out there with tens of thousands of points, it's not much. But, it is a good start! :-)

Today I ran 5 miles, a "long run" which I have built up to steadily, intentionally. It's a nice distance. I'm proud of it. Mostly I'm encouraged that I am this far into a development program. I am very regular at my other workouts, like functional training.

I'm feeling stronger and more energetic. I'm more confident. I'm more encouraged. I'm more relaxed. How good is that?!!!!

One of my favorite sayings is, "Do the program, get the results." It's so profound. The SparkPeople Program has many more skills for me to internalize to make progress at a faster rate, but I'm making progress at making progress.

And I'm very, very grateful for the work that the SparkPeople organization has done to present this whole system to us, and to the SparkPeople members who bring so much to the system. Thanks to several of you who have taken the time to offer a word of advice or encouragement!

    I'm waiting for my sisters to see that "I'm doing the program and getting the results." My husband and I have been on it since January and love it. I want everyone I know who is unhealthy to figure this out, but I'm afraid they are waiting around to see what kind of results we get. I'm out to show them that SP is the best! emoticon

    I joined SP several years ago but just became active in February. I am loving the results! More energy, more stamina, pounds are dropping, and I am managing the stress in my life.

    Gotta love this!

    Awesome run!! Nice work, you are on the road to success for sure. Points are nice but the real payoff is how you feel and improved health and fitness.
