I feel great!

It has now been 4 months and today is my day of reflection . I remember being frustrated in the beginning as I was taking off weight that I had taken off a couple of years ago. I was angry with myself and confused as to why I allowed the weight to come back on. All I knew was that my 40th birthday had come and I was miserable with the weight I was carrying and was worried about my health. We are Native American and as such we have a high rate of diabetes. I really thought about one day having grandchildren and would I be able to be active with them like I was with my own children. I wondered if I was even capable of taking off the weight and keeping it off, I decided that this was my year! I soul searched as to why I always gave up before and I found the answers. I started with baby steps, logging food, 3 exercise sessions a week for 30 minutes, drinking water, getting rid of soda, getting sleep. I took one step at a time! At first I did not notice that these small steps were doing anything for me. It took me about 6 weeks to start losing consistently. I admit I was so frustrated at times and wanted to quit but I didnt. I set small goals for myself and achieved them. I have now lost 19 pounds and work out 5 days a week for 50 minutes minimal a day. I have more energy than I have had in years. My jeans are falling off and am excited to buy something that fits. I will be throwing away my clothes because I will not allow myself to put the weight back on again. I feel great and now know that I can do anything that I set my mind to.
