Spark Points verses Spark Minutes

I remember when I first started this sight and had that 1st little spark trophy, oh how I wanted the next one, & then the next Bigger one. I'd do my daily spin, log my H20, read all my e-mails just so I could get that next Trophy.
But I finally realized thats not the point of being here...... Its the fitness minutes that Really count. Now I just take the points as they come. Don't get me wrong I still like getting them, only now they come when I log my cardio, or strength exercises or post on a sight hopefully trying to motivate others also.
Now I love to watch my fitness minutes over on the right side of the page, for the week and the month. Even when not losing weight I know my body is better off. On my fitness page I will do a few exercises,mark them, get my minutes, think Woo Hoo & want to do a few more.
I also Love being on my team page clicking on the (see team leaders, then clicking on the fitness minutes) to see where I'm @ compared to the rest of the team, I don't have to be # one but I sure don't want to be last.
My goal is to have more fitness minutes than spark points!!! emoticon

    Very good point! HaHa!! I am addicted to the points so much I had my hubby put a TIMER on the computer so I wouldn't be doing it ALL DAY! It's like it's on my to -do list! I do like the fitness pts. and you're right about it,but I still find myself logging on +timer and then finishing in the morning so I only log in food later....-betsy emoticon

    that's a great point! i think many of us started out like that. for some reason all my spark emails are blocked now... so its really hard to get all the points :) guess thats a sign for me to focus on the fitness!

    I like seeing new trophies too, but it's not my main goal. That's just a motivator for me.

    Fitness minutes is where it's at! I don't know if my minutes will catch up to my sparkpoints, but that's a good goal to have! Thanks for sharing.

    I am addicted to the Spark points. I have no problem hitting the exercise minutes when I am home because I line dance 2 hours a day, 5 days a week, do Tai Chi 3 times a week, and then go to the gym and do the elliptical and swim in the pool to cool down. I get home about 1pm and I am ready for a nap but I am feeling great. Now that i am on the road. I do line dancing 2 times a week and tai chi 3 times a week and walk every day.
    It is a little harder to get the exercise but the weather lets us walk when ever we want. Car shows is another walking exercise as long as we don't stop at the food court.
