Rejoining Weight Watchers!

Monday, March 08, 2010

Had to revise my weight again - back up to 413! Argh! - because there is such a huge difference between the scales at my new Weight Watchers meeting and the scales that I was using at the chemist.

So I'm 413lbs again. Again! Augh.

It'll screw up my Biggest Loser challenge numbers this week - because that'll be a plus 5.5lbs(!) - but hopefully it'll mean a big minus number next week.

My new Weight Watchers leader seems very nice. She had her "before" picture up in the meeting, and she honestly looked like a completely different person. She's also an aerobics instructor, and is thinking of putting on a Zumba class somewhere nearby, which would be awesome to try out!

But for the moment, I'm looking forward to this next week. I like keeping myself accountable for my meetings, and so I'm really hoping that this works as well as it did last time I was a member.

(For those whom I've never told, I once lost more than 50lbs on Weight Watchers, and then gained it all back, plus more.)

I'm glad I went and rejoined. Keep your fingers crossed for me. :)

you are right to adjust to the most accurate scale - but it isn't really a weight gain - the starting number would also have been higher

Good luck - and that weight gain is a one time thing that you won't have to contend with again! It isn't really a weight gain - it's a difference in scale calibration. It's hard not to take that personally. You have a great attitude and I hope this works for you!

When you said you like to keep yourself accountable for your meetings it made sense that this is a really good step for you. Best of luck to you!! We'll be awaiting the next post.

Good luck with this! I wish I could afford to join; there's one in the same plaza as the shop where we do 99% of our grocery shopping, so it's not like it would be hard for me to get there.

Looking forward to hearing about your results!

A round of applause to you going back to weight watchers and making it happen for yourself. Scales are such pesky things. I have had so many new ones in one year due them packing up.....very frustrating. I finally decided not to have one at home, but to rather walk up to the corner shop and weigh on those big ones that spit out a printed sheet with your weight on. All went well till a week ago when the machine measured me shorter on the Friday, then I gained some height on the Monday. Sigh. I'm still waiting for the scale company to come and repair it, so in the meantime I have no idea what my weight is doing (scale wise) my clothes fit comfortably so thats good at least.

That's a sore one about the scales - sorry about that! I did Slimming World a few years ago and I invested in a set of digital scales for my house (they weren't expensive, about £20) and they concurred with the class scales, so I know they're not lying to me. Something you might want to consider.

Best of luck with WW - I hope it works well for you. Have a good week.

Weight Watchers has always been an excellent way to lose weight! Congratulations! You can do it, one day at a time! Please do not focus on the numbers on the scale this week. You have lots to look forward to, including feeling so great and having lots of energy!

Cool joining weight watchers again! I did it for awhile and I have been thinking about again. I would like to go to the meetings but with my schedule I think online would be better its just there isn't as much support I have never done online. I wish you the best of luck I know you can do it with weight watchers!

Glad you're getting back into the swing of things. The great thing is that you've been successful before and know what works. Keep it up! PS Zumba rocks. You can totally modify any move. It gets me sweating and I love to dance to its great. Best,
