My baby CAN fall to sleep on her own!!!!!!!!!!!!

Monday, March 08, 2010

So her pedi said to do it now because 6 months was way too late. So we decided to start Friday night. I put her down asleep but don't worry she woke up in a like a minute. So we let her cry for 10 minutes and I went it and patted her belly and gave her lots of kisses and told her that mommy was here and that she just had to go to sleep. When I waked out and hopped in the shower.

The it was hubby's turn to go in after the next 10 minutes. He said that she started to settle down and he wasn't sure if he should have went it. When he shouldn't have because that just wound her up again. So I was due in after the next ten minutes and guess what, she was sleeping away. It wasn't as bad as I thought. I was thinking the first night was going to be an hour or more.

OK so Saturday night came. She got her bath, nursed and I put her down awake and she cried for maybe 2 minutes and out like a light. She slept from 7:30pm until 6:30am and when she woke up in the morning, she just played in her crib until I came to get her at 7am.

Sunday night, same bedtime routine and when I put her down she cried for like 2 seconds and out like a light.

I can't believe how easy it was. I guess she was just ready. I hope now that this translates into naps. I want to be able to put her down in her crib and have her nap there so I can get some work done. I guess I'll find out today.

Wow that was easy! I'm so excited for you and I can't believe that she's sleeping that long through the night. I'm still waiting on Sarah to start. She's only sleeping from 9:30 until 1:30 and then til 5:30 or 6:00. Hope things are going well with your new place or at least they will be. :)
