ok so I am so tired of all these articles and meetings...I am told you exercise to much you dont take in enough calories.... Im starting to hear BLAHBLAHBLAH!! I do zumba 60 mins 3x a week I put all effort into it...sweating after 5-10 mins.... I do a 1 mile in home walk (15 mins) at least once a day if not twice a day x 4-5 days a week, especially if i know I'm going out to eat! I am losing a half pound here or quarter pound there... I want to see 1 full pound to 2 full pounds every week and I really dont think that is expecting to much WTH am I doing wrong I eat better then a lot of ppl I family luvz fruits and veggies we eat well balanced meals containing olive oil and whole wheat options lean meats and I get just about 90% of my daily fiber(just started) I think it will clean out my "system" and get my body on track! I lost 30 lbs about 2 yrs ago almost effortlesslyquit smoking and moved gained it all back plus 10lbs... only doing 1 mile walk 2x a day and outside walking to run errands and walk kids back and forth to school maybe all together 4-5 miles every was free and I was seeing good # on the scale every week gosh it felt great why does it seem so different now?? I pay $$ to WW I pay $$ to zumba and I do my free walking its just completely frustrating knowing I did it before for free and now spending $$ and not seeing the results I would expect! HELP!!!

    Are you logging your calories? I assume so. Try a scale for your food too, if you are not using one already. My main comment is on the other page :) you'll get through this!

    I feel your struggle, I have been on a plateau for months now. I know this is not what you want to read but please bear with me. Keep doing what you are doing. It will happen. It has to.

    Three weeks ago I called and vented to my very fit sister about my plateau and struggle to kick start the weight loss again.
    She summed it up by saying what I just wrote with the analogy:
    "Your body has to let go. If you are watching calories and exercising regularly, barring any unforseen health issues, the body has to give it up. Otherwise there would not be anorexia and people would not die from malnutrition."

    Your body is fighting you every step of the way because it is nature's way to protect. You were able to lose a year ago, you will lose again, it unfortunately is just harder the second time around. Five years ago I went on Atkins - lost a lot very quickly and easily but gained it all back when I went back to proper nutrition. This time I'm not doing anything faddish, just portion control and calorie count, including things I like within reason and losing

    but surely. And that is the best way to do it.

    It may be a good idea to have a check up with your Dr. just to make sure there are no underlying issues. Discuss it with him/her, they really can help.
