March 4, 2010
I am sitting here at 2:15pm in my nightgown and a pair of grubby sweats. Whatever virus has entrenched itself in my repertory system continues to plague me with rolling, hyper-productive coughing episodes that leave me gasping for breath. The medicine I have been given – a Prednisone burst, Robitussin AC cough syrup, a Z-Pac antibiotic, and a ProAir inhaler have yet to make a measurable difference. I missed the entire week of school and since I was sick most of the time in between last week and this and am now behind in 2 exams and 3 Homework assignments that I know of, not to mention an enormous amount of reading. My Spring break begins in another 2¼ hours and lasts until Tuesday March 16th morning.

To say I am highly stressed and moody, as well as down-in-the-dumps is a gross under-statement. Several other important projects, such as a major reorganization and cleaning of the house, and doing my taxes and updating FAFSAs are also on the schedule and must be done during this off-period. I have to contact my professors and communicate with them regarding why I suddenly turned up missing all week and to work out making up the inordinate amount of work I need to do to maintain my Honors standing. The virus or at least my body’s attempts to fight it off are leaving my body fatigued and my mind foggy and coughing makes me even more lightheaded and dizzy. Now add to this the additional quirks of the plethora of medications I am taking and my motivation levels are almost nonexistent. Yet and still I have to pull it together, have to lay down some sort of roadmap, set up a plan…

March 5th
Still coughing, but more determined to get something done. I have turned off the television, sat at my computer, gotten some coffee, and loaded up some of my music. Finished entering all of my food in my nutrition tracker so far and now it’s on to the taxes before starting to tackle some schoolwork…Prednisone is really ratcheting up my appetite, but so far I haven’t eaten my way through the kitchen too much. The infection I had at the beginning of the school year managed to hang around and develop into full blown Bronchitis…of course. But nonetheless, I have to get some of my tasks done, or I will just end up stressing over them and impacting my immune response anyway…

Hope you'll feel better soon. I had, what you're describing, in January and recovery is very slow.
Let's both tackle some long overdue projects today - I have too many as well...
    Hang in there!
