Feeling Worn Out

Thursday, March 04, 2010

Today will be a late day and very busy. I've just gotten off the dreadmill -- 4.0 miles in 65 minutes, thankyouveddymuch.

My lunch is packed, my dinner is planned and I hope I can stick to it. I'll be starved by the time I get home at 8pm.

I'm starting to feel a little worn down this week. TC says I am to be commended for "putting myself first" but when the job starts to crowd in, what are we supposed to do? There's only so much energy to spread around.

Well, as one of my cards says (WHO first said this??) "I want to focus on the solutions, NOT on the problems."

SOOOO.....I guess I can put a snack in my car for the drive home to stave off the late-night hunger pangs. Maybe I'll call TC from the road to have him get that chicken breast in the pan so it will be mostly done when I get home.

Yeah, I guess I can do this for one more day!!! THANKS, SPARKPEOPLE!!

Good for you thinking ahead. You planned and prepared, and this makes such a difference. I have a day like that tomorrow, so I'm following your lead and mentally rehearsing. When it gets tough I am going to try to say, "I knew it would be draining; I prepared for this . . . and as BLW said, it will pass.

If only you had blogged this yesterday I may have been better prepared for another one of my TOO MUCH WORK and not enough time days. emoticon

I'm on the same path, right behind you. I am dedicating myself to myself to the best of my abilities. Today I did not have my exercise time in the morning so as I was "giving up" on my early exercise I put on my shoes and put in the 18 minutes that I did have. emoticon

It may seem like such a small thing but it isn't, it is HUGE. It goes to mindset. No excuses, no what you can. You can do something. 10 minutes count. Stop with the I can't and think instead, what is it that I CAN do? Right now!!

    This busy day will pass.

    Great planning!
If you look for problems that's what you will find.
If you look for solutions... you find less stress.

Also if you do find that overwhelming pressure creeping in... take a few slow deep breaths. It helps me refocus and say "Oh well" and then I can think of what I CAN do.
