P90X Week One Day 3

Shoulders and Arms -
Herein lies my strength! Not only did I keep up, I EXCEEDED AND I did the bonus round!
Granted, I only used 5 lb weights BUT when I got up this AM I couldn't even straighten my arms completely because my biceps were so sore! I actually grabbed 3s and 5s and figured I would be pushing it with 3s. After I warmed up, however, I felt ambitious and grabbed the 5s. Next week I'll be grabbing 8s and 10s for this work out. I'll keep the 5s handy just in case I need to switch down for form but I truly don't expect to use them much. Each set called for 8-12 reps and I did 15 -20 on every single one! These are the muscles I use in the barn.
Today also calls for Ab Ripper X. I attempted to do it right after Shoulders and Arms. S&A was 60 minutes but ARX was only 15 minutes. Easy peasy, right? NOT! Only made it through the first 5 minutes and THAT was a sad effort in itself. Yes, my abs are weak. The rest of my day is VERY busy BUT I'll try to squeeze ARX in later tonight. If not, I'll be starting with it tomorrow. I will not wimp out. I can at least attempt each exercise, right?
Working out first thing in the AM is definitely the best time for me right now. It gets me going and the pumped feeling lasts all day.
3 days down - 87 to go. The hardest part is behind me now. What is it about getting started that we find so difficult? I can come up withso many excuses if I let myself. I don't want to sweat. YUCK! I don't have time. I'm lazy. My back hurts. The list goes on and on, IF and only IF, I allow it. Well, I'm not allowing it anymore! 2010 is MY year and I will see the loss I'm looking for this year! Hopefully by summer time. I'm 17 pounds down from last March. With P90X and the ShamROCKs on my side, I can do this.
