So...I've found that I can make myself do something I don't really want to do. When I have the time to exercise is in the evenings. That's usually when I want to just relax after a long work day. I got through the first week burning more calories than I had scheduled due to a snow storm and shoveling that needed to be addressed. I was really wishing I still had one of my stepsons still living here! This was one time I really disliked having my hubby out on the road. I got through it...and got some good exercise in. That was how I got myself to do it...reminded myself what good exercise it is. It was so good that I skipped my walking for a few days because I had already gone well past the calories I had scheduled to burn last week.

My next goal: start walking during lunch time. I usually bring a lunch and eat at my desk, so it will be good for me to get out of the office for a little bit to get some exercise!

    Lydia, when I worked in an office, I would bring my tennies in a sack and would walk in the mall. I was amazed at how more clearly I could think the rest of the day as I worked. Mall walking is fun because you can window shop too! It gets your mind off the minotany (I'm having an eldery moment and forgot how to spell that word!). Is your dog a good walking dog or does he pull? I have one dog that could have been a sled dog. I am airborn everytime I try to walk him. My aunt was telling me about a harness leash you can get at the pet store that works wonders for training headstrong dogs to walk. I'm going to try it on Hollybear.

    That is how I went over last week of burned cals with all the Kinda wish I had some more this week I could do. But o well I will just go for my walks

    Good job on the shovelling. I too find evening is the only time I can exercise. I'm also trying to get in some walking at lunch time. I'm at my desk most of the day and bring my lunch, just need to get up and go for the walk, or hit the treadmill. Good luck with your walking. emoticon
