Afraid to get on the scale... it's not what your thinking

I have been anxious for today to arrive so I could weigh in. At the same time, this morning I was afraid to step on it as it has given me negative feedback in the past. and So sure enough I gained .6 of a pound. I don't have an explanation for it. I swear that I look better in the mirror. I did lose an inch in my hips during February. So, at least that is a good thing.

I track everything I do and eat. I am not sure what I should change. emoticon emoticon

    The way your clothes fit shows to everyone! the little old number on the scale shows to you and who????
    go for the muscle toning and slimming. The scale will follow. Its just a silly peice of MAN made equipment anyway!

    .6 of a pound is nothing to alarm yourself over and please don't let the scales be your only source of proof you're progressing.
    Do your clothes fit better, have you taken other measurements to see if you're toning up (you could be gaining muscle don't forget) and are you able to walk further, manage everyday tasks easier, are you sleeping more soundly.
    It's matural to want to get to your goal weight and all focus does tend to go on that, but admire your emerging new shape too emoticon

    It's a wonderful thing when you can see the results, but it doesn't always happen. I have been up and down for the past month on the scale and hate it...BUT...I know that my body is changing. I can feel the strength, I can see the toning and I know I am healthier. So I try not to let the scale bother me too much - it does because I want to SEE those numbers go down - but if I don't I try again the next week.

    Once you accept the fact that the scale doesn't always like us every week and won't always show us what we want to see...you won't worry so much about it. Just keep doing what you are doing...your body is changing and you ARE making results! emoticon

    Muscle weighs more than fat and you are toning if you are losing inches. The scale has done that to me too but I notice more definition all over. So hang in there. Don't go by the scale, go by your tape measure or your inspiration jeans. I am going to try mine on this weekend. Keep it up!
