I have been diagnosed...

with folliculitis. Yeah, anyone reading this probably saw my blog title and thought "OH MY GOODNESS!!" emoticon It's nothing serious, but it is annoying as all get out. I thought I was having a problem with acne recently, but it turns out that I have folliculitis which is simply infected hair follicles caused by shaving. Shaving has always been a huge hassle to me because I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin and I've tried pretty much everything that has ever been suggested to me in an attempt to make the process easier. Nothing seems to work. I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've been able to shave without a bloody face as the end result. This just makes me even more frustrated. I'm actually thinking about looking into hair removal of some sort just to get a little relief. This is irritating like you cannot imagine. Plus, it hurts like heck!

Your suggestions are welcomed!

I am definitely thinking about checking into electrolysis. I've thought about waxing, but it would grow back too fast. My doctor prescribed me a lotion to put on it so I'm hoping it will alleviate it soon.

    Hang in there, sweet Chris.
Sorry you are having a problem. It's a good thing that you had it checked. Your dermatologist should be able to help you. Try a little "stubble". My son says it works for him. He only shaves about every other week to keep his face babybutt soft. The girls say it's a very sexy look. Just a thought. Sending you alittle love today. XO MaryAnn emoticon

Sierra, what kind of conditioner do you use?

Grammy, it would take me months to grow a beard or a mustache because I can't grow either one! LOL!

Grow a beard. Have know guys with this condition and not shaving is the best idea. You can even have a beard in jobs that require beardless because it is a medical condition.
