Usually I stick to the elliptical machine for my cardio. And by usually, I mean always. This past week, for no reason whatsoever, I found myself on a treadmill. I walked for 30 minutes before doing a shorter than usual session on the elliptical. It's been a nice change of pace. I'm hoping to work some more running into my treadmill time this week. I really hate running, it bothers my knees if I over do it (thanks knee surgery as teen from basketball), but a little bit is fine. Even just 5 minutes makes me feel accomplished. I'm going ot try doing 5 minutes in a row each day and then add more 5 minute sessions with walking in between.
Also, my fiance and I decided we are going to avoid going out to eat to save money. This is good news to me because that is where I slip up a lot. I'm really good at ordering good things for myself, but he almost always gets an appetizer and I am not so good at resisting things that are right in front of me! Hopefully this will help big time in getting to my goal weight!
