I let go of my need for more, and live in a state of pure gratitude. Giving is replacing my need for more.
From the Tao Te Ching by Lao- Tzu
Which means more to you,
you or your renown?
Which means more to you
you or what you own?
I say what you gain
is more trouble than what you lose.
Love is the fruit of sacrifice.
Wealth is the fruit of generosity.
A contented man is never disappointed.
He who knows when to stop is is preserved from peril,
only thus can you endure long.
Wayne Dyer Living the Wisdom of the Tao
The universe provided this quote to me this week. I'm something of a howarder as well as having a major eating disorder. Also want to hang onto anger like a pitbul! lol!
So. This is one of those quotation that has major implications in my life.
What is important is me, not what I own.
Kindness and gratitude are more important than material possessions.
I am more important than what I eat.
Peace is from within not from without.
Our true possessions that we can keep are acts of kindness and joy.
This is still a work in progress.
