S for Saturday Challenge & use of the word FAT

Saturday, February 27, 2010

One thing I have learned along the way. The NEGATIVE impact that thoughts and voice! And the word I hate the most is FAT!!

I belong to a couple teams with challenges going on right now and I see and hear things that take me back to where I came from. A negative, almost self loathing place. Unhappy with myself, my body. And on and on.

And then I realized that I was actually preaching something I wasn't practicing. I was telling others to take care of themselves, to think POSITIVE and KEEP AT IT!! OK - so what about me??

Somewhere along the line I WOKE UP! Realized I had to do the same for me that I was doing for others. Think positive - never use the "F" word in reference to my body, always look to find the success in the days accomplishments.

In short - Find at least one POSITIVE every day and CELEBRATE it.

emoticon I have always wondered how well people do at anything when they degrade themselves. Self loathing has never gotten me anywhere so I never picked up the habit ... that's not to say I don't have my own issues but calling myself names is not one of them.

You have a good idea. Thanks. It does take a ton of positive to get rid of the negative in our lives. So at least you have given each of us that first step. You go and have a wonderful, happy day.
