Motivators

Friday, February 26, 2010

Week 1 of the challenge is to blog about what motivates me. Well here they are.

1. My top motivator is health. Both my brothers died at age 47 (I'm 43), They both lived different life style then me but I still worry that I might be cursed or something.

2. My daughter is getting married Aug 2011. I want to look good in the wedding photos.

3. Looking good in my jeans, Have lost some weight in the past and remember the joy of buying a smaller size.

4. Compliments from other people. Having someone notice that you have lost weight.

5. Confidence. I notice that I have more confidence in myself when I have lost weight. I hold my head just a little bit higher.

Isn't it great when someone notices that you have lost weight. I also like the feeling when you can buy a smaller size of jeans. Keep up the good work.

Those "boys" died really young. It is scary when you are so close in age and the one has just died. Hopefully, you will avoid that. Is it anything heriditary? I'm sure you've consulted the doctor regarding things that may counteract that gene if it is. (Keeping ALL my fingers and toes crossed for you!)

Congrats on the upcoming wedding! Hope you have luck with your son's college as well. Are you adjusting to the work schedule?

Yes, being motivated is a help. I have my pedometer to motivated me all the time. I place it on when I'm getting ready for work. I track my steps at work by moving all the time and walking on my breaks and lunch hour. I continue to walk when I get at home.

If we stay motivated at all times we will see results of the weight coming off.

Keep up the good work. emoticon emoticon
