Day 17 - End Overeating, Part 2

I am trying to "leave food on my plate", which is Day 17 of the Beck book.
This is not always easy -- do you know how rarely I (and probably you) eat off a plate??
However, I was VERY mindful today. I actually did NOT scrape the bottom of the yogurt container 25 times. I did NOT eat the apple down to the seeds and stem. At dinner I did NOT eat the entire can of green beans. We also had fresh asparagus that I roasted in the oven, and IT ABOUT KILLED ME NOT TO EAT THE LAST THREE SPEARS. DH didn't want them because he was full (can you even imagine??). So I actually wrapped them up and put them in the fridge.
THREE LOUSY SPEARS! Now this seems stupid to me because 3 asparagus spears are about 12 calories. Total. But I'm trying to look at the big picture and just follow Beck's plan because she's the expert, not me.
I even checked the clock before I sat down to dinner. I'm going to work to make it a rule not to get up from the table until 20 minutes are up. I may eat all my food, but I'm not going to leave the table.
I'm really serious you guys, I'M GOING TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN!
