Tracking is number one most important thing I do

I was having computer problems and couldn't track my food in the Spark nutrition tracker. I told myself I could do it on paper and it would be just the same. NOT!!! I gained weight because it was just too easy to fudge (pardon the pun) the info, or not do it or not tally it up. I really need the discipline of tracking my food. It keeps me accountable and honest. So I'm feeling bad about sliding back, but I will start again.

    Tracking what I eat has made all the difference for me. This is the first time I've tried tracking and it's made me realize the junk I have been eating and now I will think twice about eating something knowing I'll have to put it down. emoticon

    I swore up and down I'd never be one of those people that tracked every little thing I ate. But with this site, it's almost like a game to me...it's amazing how it opens your eyes and how much you learn about what you are eating and how you can improve.

    I know exactly how you feel Budviolet, that's exactly what happened to me. My computer broke down and I stopped tracking and by the time I got my computer up and running again, I had lost the habit. what I didn't realise then as you have realised now that Tracking is the key because without tracking you don't realise how many calories you are consuming and without tracking all the old eating habits sneak back in.

    this time I wont make that mistake. I will track on my computer as my first priority, but as a back up, I have purchased a notebook which I will keep with me at all times and record there also because if my computer goes again I will have the habit set up and a record of my food intake. I must do this because tracking is the key. Part of our journey is falling and picking ourselves up again. emoticon
