Long time no see!

So I've been MIA from sparkpeople.. kind of. I still come here and look at recipes, record my weight, read the forums, and sometimes log my food. Basically in the fall, I gained back almost all of the weight I had lost. However, I shall not dwell on that fact, because as of this morning I'm officially just over 10 lbs down, with another 10-12 to go, and I'm feeling great.

I've registered for a 5K at the end of March...

I've started a new tumblr blog on fitness/diet/life/God..

I'm really feeling great that I'm back on track, and gaining all of that weight has only shown me how to keep it off next time.

Okay, weight update. This summer I was 115lbs... I gained.. and was at 138lbs by December. I was pretty miserable, feeling defeated, but I picked myself up and said, I can DO this! So now i'm 127.8, down from 135 at the beginning of January, so 7-8 lbs in 6-7 weeks. I haven't counted calories every day... some weeks I pay a lot of attention to my protein intake, some weeks I'm just trying to make sure I eat SOMETHING. Being in school is very different from when I was working (last time I lost weight). My schedule changes rapidly, and I have to adapt! I think it's really helping me learn how to eat well/proportionally in the real world, no counting.

For example, this weekend I went on a retreat with a Christian group I'm involved in, and when we went out to eat, I ordered the best I could, and just ate a serving. Throughout the rest of the day, I just ate when I was truly hungry, and only enough to satisfy that hunger.

Now, one thing I'm a little nervous about is that I sometimes get too little calories... so I might start counting just to make sure I'm getting enough. I'd really like to get up to 4-5 days of exercise, and at least 1500 calories a day. I think right now I'm getting only 1200-1400 most days. This week might not be the best to pay attention to that, but next week certainly will... and then it's Spring Break!!

Oh, in case you are curious..
Current Workout Schedule:
Tuesday - 2-3 mile run
Thursday - 2-3 mile run
Friday - 30 min cycling, 30 min yoga (namaste cycle class)
Saturday - 2-3 mile run

On my off days, I either do yoga or rest.

But anyway, that's my update for now.. Wish me luck on getting back to the finish line again!
