Planning My Work and Working My Plan

Monday, February 22, 2010

I am VERY EXCITED. After a jag that started on Feb 8 with a Monday snowday (and lasted a full week), I AM DOWN INTO the 150's again!

158.5 to be exact. (applause, please!)

I'm continuing to use my WARRVESTS strategy; two or three times throughout the day I mentally run through the list to see what I still need to do. Do I need to drink another more water? Did I take my vitamins? I've not been perfect, but I'm tracking 9 things per day. A perfect week would be a score of 63 and mine was 53 last week. I wonder how many of those things I would have done if I WASN'T tracking?

MRMENTALFITNESS suggested on CHERYLRUSH's blog that she concentrate on a scale number she wants to be rather than continually lament about the number she is. Now she ends every blog with that new number as a way to focus on where she is going. That's been a very helpful thought for me. I've got 144 posted on my fridge, and on my mirror. I've been getting more comfortable with it.

I loved Freelady's epiphany this week, and my debacle at the airport was very similar -- we both discovered (drumroll, please) WE DON'T HAVE TO EAT! IT'S A CHOICE!

I'm READY to take on this week and hope you are too! Do you have an idea of what you'll be having for lunch and dinner this week? Do you know when you're going to get your exercise in? Remember, you are Job #1! I wish I could remember who's blog I read this on, but she said, "I CAN'T FALL OFF THE WAGON; I'M THE ONE IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT!"

How true is that? So let's fasten our seatbelts and drive these wagons in the direction we want to go!

Awesome comments! Thanks for reminding us to "track". I used to be very good at that, but the holidays and the subsequent blizzard knocked me off track. However, that will be no more!

Wow, is this encouraging! Your focus is contagious! It fires me up to imagine the day when 144 will be on MY frig and mirror!!! Maybe by Labor Day . . . dare I set that goal???
WARRVESTS is such a great tool and your description of exactly how you use it helps a bunch.

WTG on recommitting to Beck's, every time I go though it I strengthen or learn something new.

Planning your exercise and meals does make a big difference. If it is planned it is more likely to happen.

I love what you have been finding on the blogs...
    Remember, you are Job #1!
Are what will stick with me today.

You are really back in the zone TG. It's going to be fun watching you get this done in the next 83 days!!

I'm so glad you had the week you did since it just gives you more power and positive energy.

Keep reading Beck's and more importantly KEEP doing what you're doing!

I'm still doing good on the no alcohol so if you slip then I get the lead back!!

Here's to another GREAT WEEK and congrats on losing that "6" in the middle digit - NOW RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM IT. I want to see a "5" or less in that middle digit ASAP.

P.S. I think you owe me some of those sparkpoints. I'm still getting the 1 - 2 -3's just like Keri! I know you have this fixed somehow and I will figure it out!!
