12 Mile Run!

I made my 12 miles. Yeah! 4.4 miles per hour or 163 total minutes. The overview.

My warmest. 26 degrees and snowing. Wind chill around 21. Starting our at about 730 am.

My usual winter running clothes. My tummy still got cold. I also had some chafing around the upper bra region. I'm going to need to watch that in the future.

Before an egg white and a whole egg on a piece of whole wheat toast. Nummy.
On the run I ate more of my granola bar.

The Run:
It started off great. Most of the sidewalks were still snow covered so I was in the road a lot. Then there was the Hill. When my DH and I drove it the night before I said I was going to think it over. Well I didn't think about it again until I saw it coming up. Doing down was not too bad. Then on the way back. I was going to JOG up this hill! Jog... jog... jog
Loren: "Puff Puff"
HRM: 79...81...85...88.
It stopped at 88 just inside my cardio zone. Then once the road leveled out my heart rate when right back to 77%.

By the end my legs were quite tired. But I felt great. I had a very mild inner leg cramp later that day but no biggie.

    12 miles is amazing...and with a heart rate below 90. WOW! I guess that goes to show you how age affects us. I can barely run 5 miles in one hour and my heart rate is up to 150 most of the time with 70 at rest. You've given me incentive to continue to try to improve, even at this late date! Keep up the good work!

    You jog at 77 bpm???? omg. my jog is at 150-160. LOL And then I zoom way down to 45 when I'm done. lol

    wow. I'm jealous of all that. No wonder your 12 miles was totally awesome. (and my 3.2 today almost busted my behind).

    Whoo hoo!!! Good for you.

    About the chaffing...I get it there sometimes too. Have you tried Body Glide? It works great for me. You can get it in most running stores.
