Did Slim in 6 Cardio Sculpt! Express today.
Verdict: Wow! What an upper body workout this is! My arms will be REALLY sore tomorrow. But in a good way, of course.
Debbie uses 3 and 5 lb weights for this workout as well as resistance bands. There is a ton of intense upper body work here, one exercise right after the other, and she does keep your heart rate up during the upper body stuff with squats and side lunges, side shuffles, running in place, etc.both during and in between the segments.
The lower body work is not nearly as intense, although that might be because my lower body is in much better shape due to all the running I do. The best lower body bit is walking sideways while standing on the resistance bands - good for outer thighs, for sure. Assuming you don't trip (which requires a spaz like me to concentrate REALLY hard). LOL
The only beef I have with this DVD is that her cuing is TERRIBLE (actually non-existent as she announces new exercises only as she actually starts doing them)...and sometimes the camera work is really dumb, because they are in the middle of a closeup on her FACE during the change to a new exercise. I HATE it when exercise videos do that! Because of this, someone new to this video will not get in all of their reps until they memorize parts of the video...because you have no idea what she is doing until they end the close up and let you actually see her feet and arms!
Overall, a great workout. Upper body work here is harder than The 30-Day Shred OR Power 90 Circuit 1-2, which is great for someone like me, who needs to build upper body strength. Lower body work is not nearly as difficult. Cardio is good and not very high impact (no plyo, jumping jacks, etc).
