What I Am Looking Forward To

One of my teams has a posting that asks what are you most looking forward to when you lose the weight. I keep reading the dreams of others when they post them. Many of them are similar to mine but I am finding that my list keeps on growing.
I am looking forward to setting in a chair and not worrying if it is big enough or may break. I want to fly in comfort on an airplane without cramming into the seat or worrying about what the person next to me is thinking. I want to ride a horse and try a kayak. I want to do so many things. I want to wear a size that can be found in almost any clothing store. One big goal is to lose enough weight that when someone looks at me I don't think they are judging me based on my size. I have had that experience most of my life. I know people will judge but I want it to be for my messy hair or big nose or whatever else but something that is not my size.
Those are all size related but I also want to be strong enough to walk for hours, swim like I was a kid and not want to quit. I want to be comfortable in my own skin, flexible, resilient and happy.
All of these are things I am looking FORWARD TO but I am learning every day that they are things I can not dream or wish about but must work for with devotion. This has been a very long journey for me.
In March I will have been with Spark for 2 years. I have lost some weight and kept most of it off and am about half way to my goal weight. Even though I am LOOKING FORWARD to many things I am also learning to live for the moment because that is all we are guaranteed in life.
If I never reach my goal weight or size but enjoy life's journey I have been a success. This doesn't mean I plan to give up I am just learning that I can LOOK FORWARD all day but I need to enjoy the HERE and NOW of my journey. This life is mine to enjoy.
