Fall Down Seven Times, Stand Up Eight.

Coming home from college my first year, I was ecstatic. I had lost 30 pounds, I was wearing size 12 jeans and I was on top of the world. I've never felt better about myself in my life. I came home and starting eating a little more of everything. Cookies etc. (My mother's life passion is baking.) I worked out a little less. Right now I'm in the 190s. My goal is to have a 32'' waist. I really don't want to focus on the scale to tell you the truth. I read You: On a Diet. Dr. OZ said the most important aspect is your waist circumference relating to your vital organs. I can say starting out that my waist was 45''. Now I can proudly say my waist is 37''!!! That is 9 inches lost in my waist alone!!! :)))))))))))). I'm taking it step by step to my 32 inches. If I had to give a goal weight it would be 150 right now. I could probably go lower but I want to see how it looks and everything. I need to focus on a eating a little less than my body needs. I want to redefine my relationship with food. Its a fuel, energy. Not for being stressed out, or lonely, or bored. I am now shedding this insecure, self conscious person, and becoming a confident individual that loves her body and everything it does for her. That's what life is all about right? emoticon emoticon

That's what i tell myself so I don't eat emotionally. Food = Fuel. You have to change your relationship with food and how you think about it! Great job!

Wow! Great job! You did a double negative! (lost 30 instead of gained the "freshman 15.") That's awesome! keep it up!
