Wii are not amused

Tuesday, February 16, 2010

(I have started my own personal blog, but I figure I can also post the same blogs here....sorry if you follow both blogs and get a repeat)

Steve and I bought a Wii back in Oct ’09. We got the WII fit also, which I love. So much to do, it’s fun, it keeps track of your weight and all that good stuff, but….that wench of a computer girl is pissing me off.

First, whenever I step on the board she says “Oh….” like it hurts her or something. I know what she really wants to say is “Hey fat ass, come back when you are alone!” Then when I do the weigh in and the scale goes FLYING up, she’s so cheery when she says “That’s OBESE!!!”

Yes lady, I know that I’m big! I don’t need your little attitude to make it even worse. I usually tell her to suck it and that helps.

All in all though, I do love the Wii. I’m making it my goal to use it at least 5 times a week. I can barely do any of the yoga moves and the dog gets upset when I’m kicking around, but it’s all about persistence, yes? I think it’s a great way to exercise and have fun, as long as you don’t hurt yourself or throw the remote at the tv screen.

I wonder what the little wench will say once I get below “obese?” Will it just be “That’s FAT!” Or maybe it’ll be something more like “Wow, you actually manage to lose some of that weight? Now it’s not quite as painful when you step on my board!”

I usually try not to be mean to myself about my weight or use hurtful terms, so it’s actually a little weird that I assume the computer gal is judging me. I’m thinking that’s going to be a whole other blog issue….stay tuned!

Too funny i was thinking the same thing about my mii this morning. I hate it when it says that's obese all the time. why can't it be a little more encouraging. I have lost 20 pounds since using the wii the beginning of Jan. and she still gets on my nerves. Lady i know i am fat that is why i am on here. Any way keep at it and yell at your mii as much a you would like. It helps.

Try stepping on it with a little more blance and it will say great instead of "Oh". I figured that one out not to long ago. But there is nothing like talking back to electronics, my GPS and i get into it all the time! Good Luck!

My wife bought me a Wii for Christmas in 2008. She really bought it for herself because I can't stand Wii. She seems to like it a lot. She bought the Wii Fit and seems to like it but needs to make it a priority and use it more. Personally I like the Gym much more since it has so much more to offer. But if it is Wii that gets people to move off the couch, then it is golden for them.

HaHa I too know the anger at the little Mii girl. She stills "ohs" when I step on, but I just noticed this morning that my little Mii is actually not showing as much tummy over her pants! YAY!!!! I am soooooooo close to having a "normal" BMI! Sometimes I want to smack her smug little smile off her face, but other times I want to say "see I'm doing it!"
Good for you for keeping it going. It truly gets easier as you keep going! Soon you'll be knocking off those yoga moves like you are a yoga pro!

I have a Wii, but haven't managed to get the Fit or Fit Plus yet. I'm saving $ to get it & can't wait. I've heard several people comment about it & this just makes it more intriguing! emoticon
I can't wait to see what they say when I step on!!!!!!
    Have a great day!
