We have a new puppy, and I have new jeans!

A lot can change in a week. :) We have a new chocolate lab puppy. He is sooooo cute. He's 6 weeks old, and has already brought so much joy into this house. The kids are absolutely in love with him. They love watching all the trouble that he gets into and just can't get enough of him. We named him Walter Bishop. Weird name for a dog? I'll explain. He's a lab, and my hubby's favorite tv show is Fringe. The scientist guy on the show is named Walter Bishop. lol I'm just glad he didn't get 3 other puppies so he could have the all the main characters. The first night wasn't too bad considering how young he is. He only woke up a few times. Sunday night, he woke up twice.

Yesterday, my husband had to go out of town. He won't be back until Wednesday night, possibly Thursday sometime. The dog has already really attached himself to my husband, so I was kinda dreading him leaving and the whole dog thing falling on me, but the puppy slept through the whole night. Couldn't believe it. He's so cute. He likes to be tucked in just like my son did when he was a baby. Absolutely cracks me up.

I finally had enough with my jeans being too big. I have added new notches to my belt, and while that has helped up until this point, it just wasn't working anymore. My jeans kept sagging, but my belt was staying around my waist. Plus, since my jeans were so big and baggy they were just starting to look ridiculous. I just couldn't take it anymore. So, I while I was in the store, I picked up 2 pairs of jeans. I bought them a size down from what I was wearing, and brought them home to immediately try them on. The black pair fit perfectly. No muffin top or anything. The blue were still a bit big, and I could probably go down another size. Not sure why, but black jeans have always run small for me. (Even when I was skinny) It could all be in my head, but it's always been this way for me. But even so, they are smaller than my old jeans and they fit. I really wish that I held onto my old size 18 jeans that I got rid of just a few months ago. Who knew that I would be able to get into those again? :)

I also ordered the Zumba dvd set and a heart rate monitor. I can't wait to get those in the mail, and be more effective in my exercise. I have a pedometer that semi-accurately measures my steps, but I know that the calorie thing is not accurate because you can't program it to include weight, and you burn more calories when you are heavier. It's nice to find out I'm actually doing better than what that little thing is telling me. :)
