Whooo! Back on course!

Man, I thought I wasn't going to get this ship turned around.

After I started back up a couple weeks back, I had to really fight to get back under control with portions and overall calories. Too many little things I kept doubling up, or eating an extra bowl of cold cereal late at night.

But, I did keep pounding away at getting back to my running so I could find my 'legs' again. Still on Week 1 of C25K, but that's fine until I get back to below 310#.

I was doing real good after a pretty motivating couple of days where I watch "Biggest Loser" and figured what with being unemployed at the moment, I really can THROW myself into this and try and see what I can do for a long burn each day for a week or so.

Well, haven't found the energy to go that far, but I have been religious about my exercise days. Until I got sick this last week, and it wiped me out.

I usually can sleep only 5-6 hours a day and function without any problems. This cold I had, man, I would get up, cough for 20-30 minutes, eat a small breakfast and sleep until 2pm or even longer. Then go to bed at my regular bedtime.

Pretty weird. And to top it off, I went to church on Sunday and did all my normal church work before coming home and having a good day without much coughing and not feeling tire. But Monday, I was in bed again.

Today, I got up, coughing a little and decided to take my new dog out for our first long walk. He doesn't like the leash much, but he was good for most of the way, when I got back I did my morning run, and I am thinking to myself, "Dang, this is tougher than I thought, maybe I should sit another day".

When I finished and went to flip the treadmill up, it wouldn't latch, and I realized that I must have been running with an incline. Turns out, the wife had walked while I was out with the dog. She left it on 2% incline and so it wouldn't lock. And, that does explain why I thought the whole run seemed a little more than usual.

Anyway, weighed in after 10 days of all this. Went from 323.1 to 318.1 during that time. I will take it as a start for 2010.
