Eating Low-sodium

Saturday, February 13, 2010

January 1 I began eating low-sodium and I have lost 21 lbs. since then. An average of 1/2 lb. per day. My doctor approved this diet for me. My mother was on it last year and lost 84 lbs. and the doctor wants her to go back on the diet. All you have to do is eat 2300 mg. of sodium a day. The way I do it is I look at labels and if something has more than 400 mg. of sodium in it, I don't eat it. I can have No Salt, salt subsitute. I eat that on my meat and vegetab les, that is if I put anything on them.

I am impressed with this diet. If I keep losing weight like this, by summer I will have a substantial weight loss. I'll be able to get around a lot better and without as much pain.
I have arthritis and losing weight is one of the best things I can do for it.
