Blizzard of 2010

Wednesday, February 10, 2010

Thought I'd share some pictures with you. I have never done this before, so I'm hoping that I'm doing it right. If it doesn't work, I apologize and you can go to my photo album since I have uploaded them successfully there. This is definitely the most snow I've experienced during my 34 years in this country.

This is what I found when I arrived at home on Monday. PEPCO came to the house and shifted the branch but since I still had power, they left it alone for now.

Looking through my kitchen window at my neighbor's deck.

A view from my living room window at what used to be an intersection before the blizzard.

The holly tree which has been home to both birds and squirrels at times. No one seems to be at home today.

I'll quit while I'm ahead. There are a few more pictures in my album, and you're welcome to take a look. I'm hearing that the worst is over; I'll be saying that when I can see the asphalt in my driveway. However, I thank God that I have not lost power and my pantry is stocked, so I'm good for now. Hope everyone is safe.

Glad you are home. Are you feeling better? The pictures remind me of one of the reasons I moved from the Northeast to Florida. Your pictures are great, the best time for snow is right after it has fallen. Pretty but I don't miss it.

Excellent job!! I'm proud of you! It's amazing how we're managing to stay healthy in all of this snow and enjoy the weather also. I was busy just taking pictures of a bird in the tree outside my window today and of the icicles. I heard on the news I didn't have to be too concerned with getting all of the snow off my deck so I think I'll wait a little. Glad you didn't lose any power!!
