My first week as a Team Leader

Monday, February 08, 2010

Well I made it through the first week as a Team Leader. I don't know how well I did as I am still learning the ropes........................a
nd there is SO MUCH to learn!

I was lucky and had someone volunteer to help co-lead, and this will be so helpful. It is great to have some one to bounce ideas off of, and discuss things with. It will also help when one of us is away for any reason, there will still be someone around to answer any questions or offer support to a team member if needed.

The team is called Living with Diabetes, and I felt I needed to do this as much for the team which apparently had no current leader, but also for me. In helping others, I hope to be able to help myself. I need motivation just like anyone else, and if I can offer motivation to others, and at the same time, get a little for myself, I will definitely come out a winner.

No we are not suffering from Diabetes, we are LIVING with Diabetes.

Welcome to your new post. I had looked at this site before and did not see any activity, hopefully with a new leader we can show that we are strong. It's nice to have something closer to home. I'll post on the new members page, I belong to three other groups one has a lot of post I use often. One is no activity and the third I'm thinking of leaving just not for me. I hope this one will improve. emoticon

It is always good to have people willing to help others. People who are newly diagnosed often need a place where they can ask questions. Asking in a forum such as Sparks is less threatening. Good luck and keep posting.
