My First Workout

Sunday, February 07, 2010

Ok I tried, I tried, I tried....but all I could do was 11 minutes and then I had to use my inhaler. It was mostly yoga I did. Tomorrow if I feel up to it I am going to try for the 11 again or maybe 15, but it depends on how I feel.
Once again I smoked my "last" cigarette a few hours ago. I already am fighting with myself over that. It is my battle I have to fight it myself. Notice the irony in the first paragraph I say I used my inhaler and in the second I talk about my last cigarette. This pneumonia is something with or without anything. I don't know why but it causes my headaches/migraines and the dystonia(sp) in my neck to feel different. They still cause me horrible pain but not in the same places or the exact same pain as normal. I still think I have a virus or something hiding that the doctors can't find, but that is just me.
Well I have been watching season one of The Mentalist for the past few days, so back to the couch I go. One day at a time....I just have to keep that in mind.
How is everyone else doing? I need to hear some good news today.

Wow! Sounds like you have several battles going on! I'm glad that you are on SP and I'm glad to hear that you got 11 minutes in..especially with everything else you have going on! I quit smoking several years ago but I did it with nicorette gum..I feel better than ever before..not waking up in the mornings coughing my head off..not worrying my kids, not going to the doctor every week for a sinus infection! I know it's so hard to quit..I didn't want to quit, but did because my kids wouldn't get off my case and kept saying they didn't want to lose me! I know you can do it..you are on the right track. SP has a way, whether you ever paid attention to being healthy in your entire life (which I didn't) to give you the daily skills and motivation to at least consider what you are doing or what you are eating..I find myself reading food lables now where before I might just look at the amount of sodium in something. I guess I had a pretty good day today..Sundays are my lazy days. I usually don't workout but I did get 200 crunches and some leg lifts in while watching the superbowl! I hope you get feeling better soon and you are doing great..one day at a time...baby steps will lead to leaps and bounds! Have a great week!
