Grudges

Saturday, February 06, 2010

wow - today's reflection brought back a lot of old (and new) memories. Grudges - isn't that something we all deal with? Doesn't it feel good when you just take a deep breath and let them go? Or when we ask our Lord to take over our burden for us and to lift the weight from our shoulders. I really think grudges can make or break a person. By choosing to let them go - it makes your life so much happier, makes you feel lighter , and give you the courage to move on. I know its a daily struggle for me not to dredge them up. I feel so much better when I choose to look at the positives instead of the negative. OK - big breath - bye bye grudges!! emoticon

Some of the great thinkers believe there are two basic emotions, Love and Fear. If it's not based on one, it is based on the other. For my life this has had alot of merit and has helped me let go of alot of negativity and self-defeating thought patterns. Congratulations on letting go!

    Amen!

Holding grudges has done nothing positive for my life besides managing to allow another person to hold control over me, whether they know it or not.

Today, I forgive myself for holding grudges over another. Rather than be envious of someone else because of who they are or what they have, I choose to admire their best qualities and strive to be a better person myself.
