Here we go after baby # 2

So, the pregnancy is over and it is SO time to lose this weight. After a nasty pregnancy in which I had gestational diabetes, I am committed to losing the weight so that I never have to worry about type 2 diabetes, nor any of the horrible feelings that the medication and extra weight did to my health.
I am starting this week to make sure I log everything that I eat and drink my 8 glasses of water per day. Small steps- the Dr kind of opened my mind when he told me to focus on losing 30 pounds this year- I have over 100 to lose, so that seemed like crazy talk, but he astutely pointed out that If I had focused on those goals a couple of years ago I would be in my correct weight range now- also that 30 pounds lost the correct way would probably stay off. Now, I'm not going to lie- I hope I can blow that out of the water, but I am committed to at least that 30 pounds.
