Bummer!

Thursday, February 04, 2010

Big Bummer!! My pedometer stopped counting my steps. The battery is ok, because the clock is still working. It stuck at one number, so I reset it to 0, now it won't move off of 0. I am going to have to get a new one. It was a cheap one, now I know why. I am still going to work on keeping my activity up in steps. Hopefully I can get a new one this weekend.

I love my Oregon Scientific one. It sticks rarely and I usually just need to shake it and it starts working again!

I have been without a pedometer for months, because mine only clocked miles and the clip to hold it on my waistband dug into my waist and was really uncomfortable by the end of the day. I will look into the Omrom. Thanks for all the suggestions!
(I'm not glad yours broke, Carrie, but maybe we can both get a better functioning one, now!) emoticon

I guess you get what you pay for. I have tried to get a pedometer but international luggage carries seem to mess them up before they arrive. A friend recommended wearing it here so I asked a friend coming next week to try so we'll see how it goes. Sorry, I pray you can get another soon and keep your feet a moving!

Ok girls, I can tell you that i have gone through a lot of pedometers until I got one Omron walking style pedometer, it cost around 25.00 and i got it from amazion.com its great, it also has a clip holder with a safety strap that clips on also, so you can't lose it. It also will tell you, steps, miles, aerobic steps and calories burned. And will keep in memory 7 days of information. I have had this one for few years and change the battery once a year. I have found that you get what you pay for and this one hasn't disappointed me at all. Check it out on line!!
PS, this will also count your steps when its in your purse!!

I bit the bullet a couple of years ago and got an Omron pedometer. I like its dependability, but need to be careful how often I scroll through all the cool numbers it tells you! It eats up battery life! Keep on stepping!!!

I quit buying cheap ones because of multiple problems with them resulting in they never worked for me. If you get a pocket pedometer you can put it inside your pocket, and you don't have to worry about putting it on your belt or shoe lace. I like Omron.
