Weigh-in Time Again!

General babble about weighing in.

- the lowest weight I've ever hit in the past two or three years, as shown on a printout slip from the scale at Tesco in Ireland.

(25st 3lb 8oz = 353lbs 8oz)

That's where South Beach Phase One got me before I started on my meds and gained a huge amount of weight in a short amount of time.

    Two pounds a week is great and a very sustainable weight loss - I'm happy for you! Of course we'd all love the pounds to just fall off, but there's no huge rush. You may find you start to lose a little faster as your body learns to cope with some of your lifestyle changes!

    And I actually, surprisingly, don't have any problem with your choice of screen name. When you acknowledge the problem, and acknowledge that being fat is a PART of who you are, for better and for worse, I think it's easier to face it. I don't think you're being self-depreciating, but rather quite brave.

    But, yeah, keep at it. You are INSPIRING and bold and awesome and I hope you don't mind that I added you to my friends.

    I also agree that you should change your name, and the way in which you think of yourself (and encourage others too! )

    A good steady weightloss is important but do keep up some exercise each day. I'm convinced that's what really helped me (63 lbs lost since April 2009)

    I also had a bad back...which has disappeared along with the weight and also the strength training, which I'd never done before, especially squats, helped lose the pain. Stronger support muscles and less to support!

    I wasn't sure of what to expect when I arrived to your blog. Weigh in each week is scary for me. Your calm and truthful manner is reassuring. After reading Philfan1's comment to you, I have to agree. I think you should change your name. Create something more positive that defines YOU. Maybe something like SpunkyGurl, or TrulyWonderful. (because you are!)

    Dear sweet girl, I watched your video and something about you made me very sad. I wish you would change the name you gave yourself "FATGIRL2203". You are letting your body weight define you. There are a lot of people out there that don't understand what it's like to be like us.(really overweight) They say and do things to make us feel bad about ourselves enough without us degrading ourselves. Please take good care of yourself and continue to lose weight slowly and safely. emoticon
