30 Day Shred?!

Thursday, February 04, 2010

So...I'm looking for a bit of guidance here...I know lots of people out there are using and loving The 30 Day Shred program...my question is, is it something that someone who still has a lot of weight to lose, can use and handle?!? I am looking to have a good mix of programs to my routine, as I plateau really easily if I don't constantly change things around...and have heard nothing but good things, but I dunno! lol

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!!! =)

Yeah, you definitely can! I will tell you, the first workout you do on it will probably be hard, but don't give up. I had been doing cardio a lot for about a month before I used it for the first time in about 6 months, and it kicked my butt. I did my third time on it the other night, and my endurance really changed. Only my third time doing it! It will definitely give you a workout, though!

Try to get in a good cardio workout before you try the shred. I would say cardio 4-5x a week at least 30 minutes at a cardio heart rate and the shred 3 x a week. You will see results.

I would say try it and see how it works for you. She gives modified form for a a less advanced vs. more advanced workout and it does take some time to work up to doing all the exercises at all the reps with the correct form. I wouldn't say it is great for someone's only exercise, but to add to the rotation, definitely!

YES! My weight loss was almost at a stand still, seasawing back and forth between 2 lbs. Once I incorporated the 20 Day Shred with my daily runs, the weight loss got a kick in the butt and kicked into overdrive! It's what your body needs to be shocked and to get back into motion!! I'm enjoying it, I know you will too!!

I love the 30 day shred. I did it to lose the last 10 pounds from my pregnancy with Amelia. It kicks but and does push you. I did increase my hand weights as I got use to each stage to make it harder for my body.

    Good luck...

There is some cable that has it on demand.

Check that out to see if they have it in your area.

It's an intense 20 minute workout (lots of push ups, jumping jacks & strength stuff). I'm kind of struggling with the same issue at 238lbs & have been consistently working out for only three weeks. I've done it 4 times (every other day Level 1) it wipes me out & burns around 175 calories even though I'm still not able to do every rep with the proper form yet but I do get better at it each time.

However, I feel that it kinda ruins me working out for a bigger calorie burn the rest of the day so I've been alternating days so I can still do a big cardio day when I don't do shred. The 175 calorie burn isn't enough for me even if I did it everyday to lose anything. I will say it if you do it at least 3 times a week it really does build stamina to improves all the workouts you do. I say try it for at least two weeks and see.
