Why can't I control my eating after dinner???????????? I was doing so good and then the last week and a half-----------------the bomb dropped!!!!! My breakfast is filling and healthy, my lunch is filling and healthy, my exercise is right on track and then *POW* dinner is a failure. I eat dinner, satisfied. Then 30 minutes later I'm in the kitchen looking for more!?!?!?!?!!?!?! I try eating an apple or a grain bar. 30 minutes later*BAM*, right back in the kitchen!!!!!!!!!

What the heck am I doing?????????????

Try to think back to the nights when you felt like eating again..what did you eat for dinner? Try to change up your meals and add more things that are higher in protein!! I love peanut butter, but a friend of mine suggested that I try Nutella and I have to admit it is kinda my weakness. One tsp. goes a long way and it is so DELICIOUS. Take a spoonful with your dinner and see if that helps:))) Good luck...let me know what you try and how it worked!

Sounds like you're doing GREAT except for that challenging time...I'm no expert, but I'm curious...are you getting good protein at dinner? If I have a really light dinner and pretty early, I'll get hungry...rather than fruit or a grain bar that sound healthy, try what we call a "peanut butter spoon"...just a small spoonful...can lick it slowly...or a few nuts...or Baby Bel cheese...think maybe a SMALL protein snack instead will be more satisfying and not set you up for more carb cravings....just an idea.

    You can do it!! :)

there you go, BORED, you keep yourself busy all day long and at night it is time of you to just stop and rest and relax. and you body really just wants to keep moving. and that is why you keep getting up. Trust me your not hungry. So here is something that someone told me to do and I've tried it. This helps even more if you have kids,

My son and always wanting bad things to eat before and after dinner, I keep telling him NO, so you need to think of yourself as a kid and you would not give that stuff to you kid so you can't have it either.

Try telling yourself NO the rest of the week and see if it helps. 2nd put a chair in front of the kitchen door :), this way you can't go back in there the Kitchen is closed :)

Let me know if you decide to try either one

I feel ya. My hubby works 3 nights a week and when he's gone, I eat dinner, and have my me time but guess what? I get bored and go back to the kitchen for something. I know it's because Im bored not hungry. So lately I've been trying to remind myself to do something instead of eat. I can still have me time, but trying to do something constructive no where near the kitchen!
