Day 2 - A surprise

Day 2-- I woke up with enthusiasm this am. It is my daughters birthday and I tried to call her to wish her Happy Birthday but she didn't answer. I decided I was going to get out of the house today because the temp is supposed to be in the upper 30's and the snow is melting. After the mail lady made her rounds I walked to the old cemetery which is about 1/4 mile round trip and then to the mail box to get my mail. It may not be much but its a start. I was winded but still able to climb the steps into the house. Drank a big glass of Crystal Light. Food intake has not been bad today. I need to go to the grocery tomorrow to restock. I got a call from the folks who run a program in California that I have been interested in. They train RN's to audit medical charts for Medicare. A Program is being offered in March and they have a spot for me! Airfare and hotel will be about $1000 for a week but I'll be able to work from home and start making some money again. That will be a weight off my mind. When you're not working it affects your mind and makes you feel less worthy ??? I don't know how to put it. But the thought of starting something new and making money again is very exciting.

If you keep doing those small walks, they'll get easy. You'll start wondering how they could've been difficult at all and be ready for more. Keep up the positive attitude, it's one of your greatest weapons. I hope the program works for you, I know what it feels like to be without work.
