Queen of excuses

Last week, I set myself one goal: GO BACK TO THE GYM!

and guess what.. I didn't emoticon

Every day I had a really good excuse. Well I know they weren't good excuses after all but at the time it was good enough to let my workout outfit in my bag and not exercise that day .. ugh I only exercised 3 days this week .. Sunday and Monday and then nothing until yesterday. I felt guilty cause I wouldn't reach my weekly fitness minutes goal so I did 45 minutes of cardio and strength training.

I really have zero motivation to go to the gym. First I don't have a car so I have to take the bus and it takes 30 minutes to get there. Then I really don't like the idea of working out with people around me I don't know. I wanted to take spinning classes again but they only have one class a week I can attend so I should combine it with another class so that I won't pay for just one day a week. I need help here! Should I keep exercising at home or should i go to the gym?

On the other hand, I lost 3 pounds this week!! I was getting used to losing 1 pound a week so I was really surprised when I weighed in. I'm now at 62.6kg (that's 138lbs according to and my goal for February is to attain 60kg (132lbs). Okay let's do this!

    I like working out at home, too. Though, you can still think of "great" excuses not to do it even at home. If you don't think you'll maintain your workout at home, I think that you should try finding a buddy. Possibly ask at the gym desk, even. Some places (I've heard since I've never joined a gym) have sort of a buddy-matching service. If you know your buddy is counting on you, you won't skip the workout!

    working out at home sounds like the best option. less travel, less work, etc... you could be using that time to workout instead of traveling.

    right now i work out at home because that's the easiest thing for me. i do have 2 gym memberships (LOL!) 1 closer to home where i go with my husband (not often). and 1 where i used to live and near my workout buddies. i only go there if we arrange a day to workout and we meet up. going to the gym is a pain, locker, gym bag, using the bathroom etc...

    I would suggest planning workouts you will actually do... My mom invited me to her gym once, it's 30 minutes away, it's really nice, but I don't wanna spend a hour travel for an hour workout! She does it cause that's the only place nearby to swim, but I just couldn't handle it. I do workouts at home, cause that's where I'll actually do the workouts. If you have less excuses to work out at home than at the gym, I'd stick with home.
