Almost Blew it Big Time.....

I went to my son in laws birthday party. Not much of good choices to eat and felt a lil guilty when I left. It started out ok. Had fresh vegtables, like green peppers, cucumbers and carrots with no dip. Then I ate a couple chicken wings, onion rings, and fried mushrooms. Not a lot, but after 2 beers the munchies started. I started eating a couple cookies and ice cream. Then a few more. I stopped myself before it was too much. Ended up not too bad calorie wise as I thought. I was over my plan and thought I would have at least doubled it. Ends up that it wasn't as bad as I thought.

The good news is I weighed myself before the party and lost 5.5lbs in a week in a half since I created my account on spark people!

    The key word here is ALMOST!! You are doing great,, remember, this is a new lifestyle,, not a diet... you have to learn new things,, baby steps,, you took a couple at that party, no dip, awareness of what went into your mouth,,,
    sure, you splurged, but now you are home, back on track,, that is the beauty of this ... you are in control and you did that at the party,, a huge step!! I am proud of you!!
