So spark, I'm sorry I neglected you over a week! I have literally been nonstop busy! I love being busy though so it's okay emoticon

Got a hair treatment and styled at a curly hair salon, ouidad, in the city as a bday gift to myself...i can't believe my hair can look like this- all natural! just blow dryer, good products & nature!!

So Weds Jan 20 I was in Manhattan from 8am til midnight running errands and then going to a concert at webster hall at night...didn't do any formal exercise, but did walk dfrom 57th & 7th to 11th & 23rd ave and then some so that has to count! ate good, esp for being in city!!!

Thurs Jan 21 I was in Philly, PA all day for another concert. Walked around again, plus danced but no formal exercise. Ate good except when I made my healthy choice at Cosi (chicken pesto on whole grain) didn't realize there was mozzarella on it. I haven't had dairy since 2009 and man, it KILLED my stomach batman!! dairy = bad

Friday Jan 22 I worked 10am-7pm and was exhausted from 2 long days. Again, no exercise.

Sat Jan 23rd I celebrated my 24th birthday with some close friends. It was a blast! No exercise (had work before celebrating) And like I said, it was my birthday. Should I talk about the food? I ENJOYED MYSELF! I did have dairy again- turkey mozzarella grilled veggie panini on whole grain for dinner. But also had a glass of white wine, 2 vodka cranberries, a red velvet cupcakes and chocolate covered cookie dough bites my friend decided to give me as a present (evil man. E-VIL) I had a good time. My birthday is once a year. I do not feel bad at all.

So then I woke up Sunday, my throat and head were KILLING me. I think going nonstop from the 16th i wore myself down. Sunday & Monday I couldn't work out because I felt like crap-o-la!

Now we're at almost a week where I did no formal exercise at all. SOO not like me. But it happens. I decided I had to repeat week 2 of p90x (the last week) because there was no way the week before could have counted.

That Sunday I got a new puppy!!! We adopted a 9 month old male dachshund, Stretch, from a doxie rescue. He came from Mississippi. Rescue workers drove him from Mississippi to Pennsylvania and my parents drove to Penn to get him (i didnt go bc 4 hours in a car with them is unbearable) He's the sweetest thing ever. I'm in love. He loves to cuddle and is on my lap as I type!!!

My real birthday was Tues the 26th. I did p90x shoulders & arms AND chest & back in a row to make up for not doing chest & back sunday...um yea, i never recommend this EVER...the next day, my upper body was so sore like never before!!! oh man! Ate some vegan chocolate brownies i made from alicia silverstone's "the kind diet" book. AMAZING. Also had almond chocolate cookie I made from new issue of clean eating magazine!!

Yesterday I did p90x plyo..was low impact due to my knees but intense man!!!

Today I woke up and had a bad headache all day. Was getting dizzy. Decided to rest and not push myself.

Plan on doing legs & back tomorrow- hopefully before work, and ab ripper.

I also submitted my updated pictures to beachbody for the million dollar body grand finale contest..was my last step for the entry..i won $1,000 in march and now i have a chance at $5,000 as a semi finalist for my age group and/or $25,000 as the overall winner. I won't get overall winner, the woman i hope who gets it completely deserves it. I'm praying I get semi finalist- that would so rock. I'm ver disappointed in my pics. Compared to most of America, I'm sure i'm okay, but for where I was in Jan 09 after my first round of p90x, I look worse. Hopefully it's not too bad. Was debating to post them or not, don't think i'm that brave. After I'm done with this p90x round i will post to compare.

My Arbonne business has been doing great! So many people I am showing the products too are really falling in love with them. My skin's changed drastically as well. I really like that they are all natural and good for the environment with nothing bad in them. And they are vegan!! If you want info, please message me

I go back to school to finish my bachelor degree on Monday. I have 10 classes left. Fingers crossed. I'm so nervous.

So that's it really. Will get back on spark more consistently, so sorry I was MIA again!

HI I think your new puppy is so cute! We have a minature dachshund her name is Bebe. You look great! I love your hair. I also use Arbonne- love the Product. They have great protein shakes too.

I found Tosca Reno's "The Eating Clean Diet" book a few years ago and got off to a slow start. But after reading the book a few times, I got better and better! This year I got off to a great start and want to give it my all! I also found another book that's been rally helpful to me. "Potatoes not Prozac" by Kathleen DesMoisons, PhD. It's about being sugar sensitive or addicted to sugar. She worked with aa and knew some peole were addicted to sugar just the way alcholics were addicted to alcholah. Anyway, to make a long story short. The book really got in to why you shouldn't nibble through the day on sugary foods. It's a little boring to read, but great information and nutition info.
You're doing great. You're A real inspiration! Good luck with your body contests. Karlie
