I walked and pulled a pull-cart which carried my golf clubs yesterday. I cant remember the last time i walked playing golf. I always ride a golf cart. That meant walking for 3 and 1/2 hours. The reason i walked was the course was wet and they were not allowing golf carts. I was tired when i finished but i finished. I know i could not have walked 2 years ago at 290. When i got home after a nap my wife and I walked 2miles more!!!Yea for Me!!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hey, once again I had to learn the lesson: me first. I let my family and work take first priority and it shows in my food plan, work out and attitudes.

Boy do I need Spark to remember that my life is mine to care for.

I am so glad I can recommit and recommit again and again...and folks like you are available to connect with. How is the golfing these da? Glad you and me are on our journies. emoticon

Hi Bobaloo, I saw the "golfing" topic so I came to check it out.

I was a golf pro for a long time. When I first started, we all walked and carried our bags. We all took pride in having small golf bags too. None of us "purists" would dream of taking a cart. I played almost every day and funny, no weight problem.

Then more and more courses began REQUIRING carts. With that, the bags seemed to get bigger because ... why not? Then, if you had a big bag, even if you played at a course which allowed walking, you couldn't ... bag was too big. I started gaining 4-5 pounds a year ... for 20 years ... it added up slowly but it added up.

Anyway, good for you that you play at a course which allows walking. I'm guessing you felt great afterward and I'm also guessing you'll do it more often now. It's a great opportunity to listen to the birds and give your heart a gift.
