Heading into the home stretch...

Sunday, January 24, 2010

Well, today is the first day of the last week of Bootcamp. I have enjoyed it, but I must say I'm looking forward to working out in a way that fits my schedule a little better. I am armed and ready with a plan to continue on my own as soon as Bootcamp wraps up.
I'll be doing 45 minute cardio workouts each Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and I'll keep doing strength exercises for a few minutes here and there throughout the week.

The scale has finally started to show some progress, due in part to the fact that I am watching my sodium intake very closely. Processed foods seem to consistently stall my progress so I'm trying to cook as much as I can for myself. I have also discovered a product called Diet Herbamare which is an herbal salt substitute. It works quite well on air popped popcorn!

So here is my progress report for Bootcamp week #3:
Weight lost: 4.5 pounds
Inches lost: 1 from my waist, 1 from my hips, 1 from my chest, .5 from my thigh and 1.5 from the "spare tire" area above my waist.
I'm also wearing jeans that I couldn't even zip up at the beginning of the month!
The best part is that I feel more energetic and I'm sleeping more soundly.
It's hard to believe, but I actually look forward to working out now!!!

Have a great week everyone!
